The holidays are here and it’s time for a Gentleman’s Box review and unboxing. November has come and gone, but I received this box late in the month, and so better late than never. Let’s see how Movember inspired November’s box.
GENTLEMAN’S BOX REVIEW & UNBOXING—NOVEMBER 2017
If you didn’t know, each month’s Gentleman’s Box is curated around a unique theme and a noteworthy man in history, pop culture or current day.
The Gentleman’s Box for November honors our favorite bearded park director, a renowned mustache grower that starred in the hit show Parks and Recreation, none other than Ron Swanson.
AIR TAILOR NECKTIE
Gentleman’s Box partnered with Air Tailor to offer this exclusive 100% cotton, navy tie with a floral pattern and complementary orange color. The dark navy makes this tie quite versatile.
As for Air Tailor, it’s essentially a tailor via texting service. You can get your clothes tailored by shipping through the mail, in about a week. Not too shabby.

BARNABY SHOP SOCKS
Barnaby is an Australian based company (Melbourne), founded in 2013.
The baby blue is bright, but not overly colorful. It’s subdued and even toned down a bit by the navy and white dotted pattern. The coral colored toe and heel complements the rest of the colors. It also has a button near the top to help keep the pair of socks together.
The material is pretty light which is a bit odd since it’s winter time, as I’d expect a thicker woolen sock.

BROOKLYN STRONG TIE BAR
Personally, I like the simple branding. Helvetica in white on black. It stands out and has a NYC vibe.
Tie bars are awesome. They are stylish, can be worn with many different looks and of course function to keep your tie secured.
As for the orange tie bar, it’s a bit much for my tastes. But if you’re looking for that pop of color in your look, an accessory like this can provide that. And the color works well with the necktie too.

BROOKLYN STRONG CUFFLINKS
Straight out of Williamsburg, Brooklyn Strong just launched earlier this year.
I was waiting for the novelty mustache piece. This one is actually kinda cool and something I would wear, especially around Movember as a subtle way to show support for the cause. Again, I’m sensing a theme with the navy, one of the more versatile menswear colors.
Retail Price: $23
OAK & STONE MANICURE SET
This is my first set of whiskey stones and I’m glad it’s from a brand I know and love. I’ve been drinking Jim Beam whiskey bourbons for many years now and was excited when I heard they were partnering with Gentleman’s Box. The last Jim Beam product was an ice cube tray and this one, in my opinion is much better. These stones will keep your drinks cold while not diluting them.
Retail Price: $25
