Pitti Uomo is the leading men’s fashion trade show where twice a year some of the world’s most stylish men flock to Florence, Italy to show off their feathers in hopes of being photographed by the major fashion publications and blogs.
This bi-annual trade fair started in 1972 and is now one of the largest events of its kind in the world of menswear.
In the video below I wanted to take a stab at critiquing some of the “Best Street Style” according to Vogue, GQ & Esquire.
I’ll be breaking down what I like and don’t like. It’s my first ever reaction video on YouTube, so let me know what you think!
THE BEST STREET STYLE AT PITTI UOMO 95
Though each publication favored specific styles which is to be expected, overall I was surprised at how clean and classic many of the outfits were. I was surprised that there was not much peacocking going on at all. There weren’t too many outlandish, over-the-top styles, at least the ones that I saw.
I personally think the street style at this year’s Pitti Uomo AW19 was exceptional. There’s plenty of style inspiration to gather from here. I surely took some notes and I hope you do too.
Pitti Uomo AW19 Key Takeaways:
- Neutral colors (navy, gray, beige, brown and olive)
- Wide leg trousers
- Corduroy mania
- Accessories (bags, portfolios and fanny packs)
- Camel coats
- Brown in town
- Colors, pattern and textures
- Clean tailoring
- Outerwear on point
- Statement pieces
