All stylish men know what they want. This makes it easy when going to the mall or department store. They don’t go shopping like women do, dedicating hours hopping from store to store. They’re laser focused on the exact pieces that they want, and then they go after them, trying to save as much as possible in the process. They don’t shop. They know what they want, need and like and they go and get it, simple as that.

In today’s article, I’ll be utilizing an awesome website I discovered years ago and still use till this day called ShopStyle. What ShopStyle does, is that it aggregates products from all over the web. Think of it like a search engine for clothes.
If you already use ShopStyle, then you already know how awesome it is, but if you haven’t used this tool yet, I’m going to show you how you can use it to shop online like a boss and save some money while you’re at it.
For the purpose of this demonstration, I’m going to use an outfit from this summer essentials lookbook last month. We’re going to shop for 5 items from this getup right here. And I’m going to walk you through how I would go about looking for these pieces online to save time and money. Let’s get started.
BLAZER
First up is the blazer. It’s cream, beige or tan. You want to find the keyword that will yield the widest array of search results. I determined that “men’s tan blazer” gave the largest selection.
By specifying “men’s” in the search query, it filters out all the women’s results. Of course you could filter this out later, but to save time, make sure you always specify in the search bar.
The filters help you save time. To me the two most useful are price and size. A simple price and size filter and I was able to narrow down my choices to a handful and landed on my blazer of choice in less than a minute.
CHINOS
For the chinos I filtered based on price and size first. I also had two brands in mind that I wanted search results for, the GAP and UNIQLO. In a matter of seconds I was able to narrow down to the exact price, size and brands that I was looking for. If I wanted to be even more specific, I could’ve searched “men’s olive slim chinos” for only slim sizes.
SCOOPNECK TEE
For the scoopneck tee I searched “men’s white scoop neck tee,” then set the price range $25-50. I decided since we want to save money, we probably don’t want to be spending so much on a basic tee, so I lowered the price to $0-25 and ended up selecting a $9 shirt from Asos. Quick and easy.
WHITE TRAINERS
As I mentioned earlier the more specific you are in your search query, the better the results. For example, I knew I was looking for a pair of perforated shoes, and so I searched “men’s perforated leather white sneakers.” It’s really specific and quickly narrowed down to what I was looking for.
GINGHAM POCKET SQUARE
This one was easy. I simply went with “men’s gingham pocket square, no filters. Found exactly what I was looking for in a couple of seconds for $10.
SAVING MONEY
With cashback sites like RetailMeNot or Rakuten, you can save anywhere from 2% to sometimes 20% or more depending on the retailer you’re shopping at. It’s a simple extension that you’ll want to have installed in your web browser of choice. If you shop online often, there’s no reason not to have it. You can save hundreds of dollars a month without much effort.
Not only does Ebates display cashback opportunities, but it also shows coupons, aggregated from across the internet so that you don’t have to go scouring the web for individual coupon codes. It’s a huge time saver. Oftentimes, the extension will automatically search and prompt you with a display if you qualify for any coupons. Not a bad deal at all, for a simple browser extension installation.
IN THE END
I hope you can see the benefit of using tools like ShopStyle and Ebates. If you’ve never used them, give ’em a try. You may find that it can streamline your online buying process.
