If you’re a gent who has an appreciation for unique design and quality craftsmanship, then you’ll be excited to learn about Rampley & Co.
Art and style collides in this article as we take a closer look at one of Rampley & Co’s silk pocket squares. I’ve also provided some styling inspiration for those interested.
But first a little background on the company.
A BIT ABOUT RAMPLEY & CO
Rampley & Co is a British based brand that specializes in men’s fashion accessories, particularly pocket squares.
[Founded by Elliot Rampley in 2014] “Rampley & Co was born out of a desire to create elegant pocket squares through unique designs and high quality materials to showcase British luxury to a global audience.”
Rampley & Co collaborates with some of the world’s leading galleries and museums including the National Gallery, the British Museum, the V&A and the Library of Congress.
It’s no surprise then that their pocket squares feature some of the most iconic paintings from around the world.
THE PACKAGING
I’m always a sucker for clean packaging. And whenever a brand offers up a quality unboxing experience, I always take notice. Rampley & Co’s pocket squares come in a small, solid, square box with metal collar stays and a card signed by Elliot himself.
This is an attention to detail that a majority of brands overlook. Of course they may still be small enough where this is feasible, but still, there are many small companies out there that do not offer this level of personalization.
POCKET SQUARE DESIGN
All Rampley & Co. pocket squares are designed and printed in a British town called Macclesfield with the finest silk, linen and tweed fabrics.
Their silk and linen pocket squares all hand rolled which is a process rolling the hem of the fabric very tightly with a series of dense stitches so that they appear almost invisible on both sides. This gives the pocket square’s edge a plump, refined finish, unlike a flatter appearance of a machine-stitched edge which often has loose threads.
The hand-rolling means that each pocket square is a unique piece, a true work of art.
POCKET SQUARE DETAILS
Rampley & Co pocket squares feature exquisite paintings that literally bleed off of the fabric. The vivid hues are awe-inspiring. Looking at it up close, it’s almost as if you become part of the painting.

THE HISTORY—A GREEK STORY
Scroll through the images above for a closer look and my pocket square folding process.
The pocket square’s design that I chose depicts a turbulent event from Greek Mythology featuring Greek hero, Perseus (son of Zeus) and Phineas (betrothed to his niece Andromeda).
Perseus Turning Phineas And His Followers To Stone
I guess Phineas wasn’t too pleased when he got word that Perseus rescued Andromeda from the sea monster, winning her affection.
This led to Phineas and his crew crashing Perseus and Andromeda’s wedding celebration with a full-on attack against Perseus. But not to be upstaged at his own wedding, Perseus unveiled a severed Medusa’s head, turning Phineas and his followers to stone.
The pocket square beautifully captures the dramatic scene as Phineas and his boys were about to impale Perseus with their spears.
This particular artwork was painted in the 16th century and is currently housed at the National Gallery in London.
PRICE
Rampley & Co pocket squares range from $63-$97, quite a price tag. But often times you’ll pay a premium for high quality products, designed and crafted in England. These pocket squares are literally works of art that you can wear, making it well worth it in my opinion.
In addition to their prominent collection of pocket squares, Rampley & Co. also offers neck ties, braces, umbrellas, scarves and socks.
IN THE END
Rampley & Co’s pocket squares come to life as history, art and fashion intersect.
It’s often said that good style is found in the details, and it’s the beauty of these Rampley & Co pocket squares that really stands out.
I love that their pocket squares have endless styling options due to the wide range of colors in each square. This allows for you to effortlessly add a layer of elegance and sartorial sophistication to your look.
Well done, Rampley & Co, well done.
