Sometimes it’s worthwhile to get back to basics. And there’s no better basic than a clean and classic, well-fitting hoodie. Everlane French Terry hoodies are made of 100% cotton and fits true to size.
Before we start, you can learn more about the brand in my comprehensive Everlane review.
Everlane French Terry Hoodie Review
The tried and true hoodie is a staple that belongs in every stylish man’s closet. While many associate the hoodie with sloppiness, they can actually be quite stylish if worn the right way.
And although, oversized, baggier hoodies may be in style these days, most men just can’t pull it off. My suggestion is to stick with a relatively fitted hoodie sweatshirt in a solid color with no branding.
Everlane’s French Terry hoodies are fitted through the body and the sleeves without being skin tight. It’s got the ubiquitous front pouch pockets for both hands and also ribbed cuffs and waistband that give it a cleaner fit.
I opted for the forest green color (out of stock) for something a little different, although you can choose from (the track hoodie’s) other versatile neutrals like deep blue, slate, and heather grey.
Everlane French Terry Hoodie: How Does It Feel & Fit?
Everlane’s French Terry Hoodie has an athletic aesthetic that’s both casual and comfortable. The sleeves may run a touch long as most off-the-rack garments tend to be on my 5’6″ frame, but overall the size XS fits me quite well.
It’s loose enough that there’s plenty of breathing room for comfort, yet it’s still fitted to my frame for an overall stylish appearance. Additionally, the 100% cotton fabric is mid-weight, a bit more substantial than Everlane’s french terry sweatshirts.
This durable workhorse is right at home with a pair of blue jeans and minimalist sneakers. It helps that the hoodies come in mostly neutral colors that prove to be quite adaptable.
