This isn’t Gentleman Within’s first go-round with Twillory. We’ve checked out their dress shirts and performance pants in the past. Next up, I’ll be reviewing the seasonal Performance Coat, Twill Cap and Maskarf.
I’ll cover areas of style & design, how the coat fits, quality & construction, coat details, pros & cons, room for improvement and wrap up with whether or not I think it’s worth your money. Same deal with the hat and mask.

Now let’s get started, but first a quick background on the Twillory brand.
About Twillory
Twillory was founded by Asher Weinberger in 2014 with the goal of using better fabrics to create better fits at a better price. Twillory made a name for themselves for their dress shirts and then they expanded into performance pants.
Now they offer everything from underwear & socks to masks & accessories, outerwear and most recently activewear with their athleisure collection. Today they’re continuing to craft tailored garments with versatility, functionality and comfort in mind.
Twillory Performance Coat Review
Coat Style & Design
The Twillory performance coat is an elevated and versatile piece of outerwear with a stylish quilted design. It’s great for everyday casual or business casual outings as you can wear it with everything from jeans and casual sweatshirt to more formally with a suit.
The coat features a 2-way zipper which is a nice touch and makes it more comfortable to wear while sitting down. It also has a full button enclosure from top to bottom going overtop of the zipper.
Additionally, it comes with a lightweight detachable hood that you can pack away in the dedicated inside pocket. The coat is a touch more refined without the hood, so if it’s not raining or windy, I’ll put the hood away and only use it for when it’s needed.
Finally, the design detail that I appreciate the most is the double button back vents on the left and right side. Twillory’s performance coat borrows elements from traditional suiting with this functional detail that instantly elevates the jacket to new levels of style and substance.
How the Coat Fits
The coat has a form-fitting look (especially when the waist tabs are put to use) while allowing enough room underneath for me to layer a sweater or sport coat which is super clutch for any stylish gentleman. There’s also a performance stretch fabric baked into the coat and so, you’ll be able to move freely and comfortably without ever feeling restricting.
All in all, while the sleeves run a bit long, overall the coat fits me quite well. It contours to my body’s shape with a slight taper through the mid-section (thanks to the side waist tabs), giving off a tailored aesthetic. The coat’s length is just exactly what I’m looking for in an everyday, versatile coat that I can wear casually or with jeans and a henley or slightly dressier with a button up and chinos.
Coat Quality & Construction
As mentioned before, the coat comes with a functional magnetic detachable hood that’s quick and easy to remove and reattach. There’s also a convenient interior pocket for the hood for when you don’t need it.
I’ve gotta say, he detachable hood is a nice performance touch. It’s really light though and so it’s not going to keep you all that warm, but it is serviceable for wet weather to protect you from a light rain shower or drizzle.
Furthermore the coat collar stands up like an elongated bomber style with a stretch cotton lining and what looks to be a faux leather trim. And just like the coat’s interior lining, the side pockets are thinsulate lined to keep your hands warm and cozy.
Overall, the Twillory Performance Coat is well-designed and solidly built, making it a certain value play while being able to keep you warm and stylish all winter long, with exception to colder days under 32º F.
The coat comes in at an affordable $269 retail and is currently on final sale for $149 which makes it a steal at over 40% off.

Twill Cap Review
Hat Style & Design
Twillory’s Twill Cap is has the traditional dad hat aesthetic which is definitely on-trend at the moment. It comes in one color of a dark navy, almost black if you glance at it. It’s the type of hat that you can wear more casually with a t-shirt or dress it up with a suit, though you want to proceed with caution if you do choose to rock it with a suit. Basically what I’m saying is that not every guy can pull it off.
On the side corner of the cap, there’s a “Twillory” logotype etched into a metal plate, the same material used for their collar stays. And there’s a Twillory “T” logo icon on the back in their Twillory blue color. Simply put, the design details are clean.
Hat Quality & Construction
As for the quality & construction, for the most part there’s clean stitching throughout with a few minor loose threads found along the outside and inside of the hat. The brim is sturdy with a solid curve, it’s not too curved or flat.
The hat is labeled as a size M-L, which is a bummer for those with smaller heads. My head isn’t all that small and the hat runs a bit large for me even when my hair is grown out. If I shave my head, it simply won’t fit. And there is plenty of stretch with the elastic band.
Overall the Twillory ball cap is well made, but could benefit from adding adjustable sizing or a size for men with smaller heads.
Twill Cap Pros & Cons
Pros:
- Functional and stylish
- Nice touch with the Twillory branding on the side
- Versatile design and color
Cons:
- One size fits all and runs large with lots of stretch
We’ve taken a look at the coat and hat, now finally let’s take a look at the Twillory Maskarf.
Twillory Maskarf Review
Maskarf Style & Design
Twillory’s Maskarf is basically combination of a neck gaiter and face mask. It serves its function and does so without sacrificing style. This Maskarf style and color is their Deep Azure. It also comes in standard black, a more eye catching navy herringbone.
I have basic neck gaiters that are essentially a piece of fabric that goes around your neck, but doesn’t form to your face and doesn’t have the features that the Maskarf has and so the style and design details here are nice. It does what you’d expect it to do all while keeping you stylish to boot.
Maskarf Quality & Construction
It’s more than just a piece of cloth, there’s a contrasting fabric, and it’s warm, soft and stretches. Around the back there’s an adjustable puller to cinch in and tighten the fit if necessary.
There’s also a form-fitting metal nose bridge that works at first, but will quickly wear out over time. A bit more attention to this area of the mask would’ve upped the quality a bit.
All in all, if you’re looking for a cold weather accessory that’s pandemic ready, Twillory’s Maskarf is an option worth checking out.
Maskarf Pros & Cons
Pros:
- Functional and stylish (3 options to choose from)
- Lightweight and easy to adjust while wearing
- Fits comfortably, keeping you warm while covering your mouth and nose
Cons:
- Moldable nose piece is poorly made
- Few loose threads throughout

Conclusion
And there you have it, the Twillory Performance Coat, Twill Cap and Maskarf. As usual, Twillory manages to impress with well-built, functional and stylish pieces that are mostly affordable. Sometimes I wonder how they’re able to keep their prices so low. But that’s a question to answer for another article. Their products have proven to be durable and hold up well over time though as I’ve had all 3 of these pieces for over a year now.
